About Us

The El Paso Aquarium Society (EPAS) began as a Facebook group in 2014. Since then, the group has grown to 1,300 members, and continues to grow daily. 10 years later, EPAS is looking forward to expanding on its vision to support the vision and missions of organizations around the Chihuahuan Desert region that work to promote preservation and conservation efforts within the region.

Our Story

Co-Founders Evelyn and Andres have had a deep appreciation and love for the fishkeeping hobby for the past 15 years. Upon joining other aquarium organizations and noting a need for increased awareness of the importance of ecological preservation, they founded El Paso Aquarium Society in 2014 to fill that niche.
